Why this is useful

Compare sending a caller immediately with first speaking to the receiving person. The narration follows the transfer key and destination number through both paths, giving users a practical explanation of why an attended handoff includes a private consultation.

Applicability

Version-specific

P-series workflow associated with the P320/P325/P330 family. Application availability and exact controls vary across Sangoma platforms and firmware.

Keep in mind

  • Preserving the original caller ID depends on the PBX, trunk and receiving service; the phone cannot guarantee it.
  • Check the transfer mode presented by your installed phone configuration.

Before you watch

Use a configured device and a willing test caller. Read the linked guide before changing settings.

Put it into practice

Practise both transfer types with three extensions. Confirm when the original caller is held and when the transferring phone leaves the conversation. Then agree a fallback for a recipient who cannot take the call.
