Why this is useful
Separates File Store destinations from backup jobs, then covers included data, retention and archive checks. Repeatedly explains why a copy on the PBX’s own disk is insufficient.

Keep in mind
- The lesson points to the restore control but does not demonstrate recovery. Perform an isolated restore and call test.
- Choose an encrypted, access-controlled offsite destination; do not copy plain FTP examples across untrusted networks.
- Set schedules from your acceptable data loss and monitor the age of the last successful backup. A monthly example or failure-only email is not a complete recovery policy.
