Why this is useful

A complete setup follows three separate relationships: the handset subscribes to the DECT base, the base registers SIP accounts, and each handset receives an outgoing line assignment. The final call tests show why checking only one green status indicator is insufficient. This is a particularly useful companion to the cordless-phone guide for anyone encountering a paired handset that still cannot place calls.

Applicability

Legacy

DP750/DP720 demonstration on historical firmware. The manufacturer administration guide documents later hardware credential differences and line assignment.

Keep in mind

  • The quoted firmware version is not a current upgrade target. Follow the approved path for both base and handset.
  • Voicemail star98 and the extension numbers are system examples. Keep SIP passwords private.
  • Handset subscription and SIP registration are separate; neither alone proves working two-way audio.

Before you watch

An authorized spare base and handset, charged batteries and valid PBX accounts.

Put it into practice

Make a small mapping of base, handset, SIP account and default outgoing line. Test each handset in both directions, checking caller identity as well as audio.
