Fanvil V63: unboxing and first menu orientation

Why this is useful

See the V63 assembled and powered up, then follow its language, contacts, sound and display menus. The useful stopping point is a powered phone that has not yet been provisioned: screen activity and a ringtone do not mean the device has a registered calling account. Pair the tour with the provisioning checklist before handing a new phone to a user.

Applicability

Version-specific

V63 product demonstration. Use V63-specific documentation for the ordered hardware revision.

Keep in mind

  • The presenter’s comparison with V64 firmware is not permission to install a V64 image on a V63.
  • A Bluetooth menu entry alone does not prove a built-in radio or compatible accessory. Verify the exact model documentation.
  • A restart may clear a symptom without resolving its cause; avoid interrupting an active call or firmware update.

Before you watch

A spare V63 and its installation guide; no account changes are required for the orientation.

Put it into practice

Identify the power source, handset port and network connection. Locate model and firmware information, then distinguish the phone’s powered-on state from its SIP registration state.
