Sangoma P-series: hold, resume and begin a transfer
The player loads only when you choose Watch here. Playback uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed; YouTube processes playback data.
Why this is useful
Learn the small sequence that prevents a caller from being lost while you handle another task: put the call on hold, recognize that it remains held, and resume it deliberately. The clip also introduces starting a transfer from that held call. Read the parking guide to understand when a colleague needs a shared parked call instead.
Applicability
Version-specificP-series provider tutorial. Hold music, visible keys and transfer behavior follow the installed phone/PBX configuration.
Keep in mind
- Holding a call does not normally make it retrievable from every other desk. Use the system’s parking workflow for that requirement.
- Starting a transfer is not the same as completing it; confirm the destination and chosen transfer mode.
Before you watch
A configured phone, its service instructions and a willing test caller.
Put it into practice
Ask a test caller to confirm when they hear hold treatment and when conversation resumes. Repeat once while another test call is present so you learn to select the correct held call.
