Grandstream GRP2615: understand the factory-reset menu

The player loads only when you choose Watch here. Playback uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed; YouTube processes playback data.

Why this is useful

This brief demonstration identifies the handset menu and final confirmation used to restore factory settings. It is useful when preparing an authorized device for reprovisioning, provided the recovery plan is ready before the reset is confirmed.

Applicability

Version-specific

GRP2615 LCD menu in the recording. Newer firmware may place Factory Reset under System → Operations or require administrator authorization.

Keep in mind

  • Factory reset removes the phone’s configuration and interrupts calling. Back up settings and obtain the approved provisioning instructions first.
  • The stated five-minute completion time is an example, not a deadline.

Before you watch

Have administrative authorization, a configuration backup and a way to restore the phone’s service.

Put it into practice

On a spare or scheduled device, locate the reset confirmation without accepting it. Confirm where network settings and service credentials will come from afterward. Only perform the reset when the device owner has authorized the work.
