Choose the access technology
A wired SIP desk phone and a DECT desk phone can look similar while using different network paths. D8xx devices connect as IP endpoints; M58 relies on a compatible DECT base. Choose the system architecture before comparing screens.
Pilot the operator workflow
Assign a small set of real contacts and test answer, hold, transfer and pickup. Check which functions the PBX exposes through provisioning and how settings survive a restart.
Own the deployment
Confirm device ownership, supported firmware, regional DECT compatibility and release from a previous provisioning tenant. Compare the device selection guide before placing a fleet order.
