Poly VVX450: create, hold and split a local conference
The player loads only when you choose Watch here. Playback uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed; YouTube processes playback data.
Why this is useful
Follow a call as a third participant is contacted and joined, then compare holding the conference with splitting it into separate calls. This is useful for understanding the different effects of leaving a conference and ending every participant’s call.
Applicability
Version-specificVVX450 with Execulink service settings. This is an existing-device operation guide; firmware and provider templates can change the menu and behavior.
Keep in mind
- The example uses three participants including the host.
- Whether other parties remain connected when the host hangs up depends on the service configuration.
Before you watch
Use a configured device and a willing test caller. Read the linked guide before changing settings.
Put it into practice
Use two colleagues to test merging, hold/resume and split. Establish what happens when the host leaves, and practise ending each separate call so you do not accidentally leave an unwanted connection open.
