Grandstream multicast paging: configure the sender and the listeners

Why this is useful
This demonstration makes a useful separation: a programmable key originates the page, while receiving phones need a matching listening configuration. That distinction helps explain a common failure in which the page button exists but nothing is heard. Read the paging and VLAN guides alongside it before deciding which devices should receive announcements.

Version-specificGrandstream desk-phone example in a US Technologies/CoreDial environment. Menu labels and provisioning ownership vary by model and firmware.
Keep in mind
- Group addresses and some field values are screen-only; obtain an approved multicast plan instead of copying an unseen example.
- Multicast delivery across VLANs depends on network configuration. Enabling a handset listener does not configure the switches or router.
- Auto-play announcements affect everyone in the receiving area. Limit senders and recipients to the intended authorized group.

Permission to configure the paging group and network, plus test phones outside production announcement zones.
Put it into practice
On an isolated test group, document sender, group address, port, codec and receivers. Test one listener first, then verify that an excluded phone remains silent.
